I recently upgraded my GPU and decided to update some of the fans in my prebuilt case. However, after setting everything up, I've discovered that the power button and fan mode buttons aren't functioning. Interestingly, the reset button does work and can power the PC on. The fans light up and spin, but I can't change their modes using the signal RGB feature. These fans came with a controller that was supposed to connect to a "Reset SW," but I couldn't find that connection. It seems like the power, reset, and fan buttons all plug into one USB connector on my motherboard. I'm trying to troubleshoot this before taking it to a shop—any ideas on what might be causing the problem?

It sounds like there might be a wiring issue. You may have accidentally unplugged the power switch cable when you upgraded the fans. If you can, post some photos of your setup for a clearer idea.

It's weird because everything seems to be connected as it should be. The reset button works, and the USB headers beside the power and reset buttons function too. I'm starting to think maybe the reset switch isn’t hooked up to the fan controller, which could be the issue? What photos would you suggest I take?
