I'm looking for advice on how to stop users from signing into Adobe Reader with their accounts. The issue we face is that when they log in, their free version gets upgraded to Pro automatically, but most of our users don't have licenses for that version. Is there a way to disable the sign-in option entirely or prevent the automatic upgrade? I've tried using the Adobe Customization Wizard and saw options to disable product updates and upselling. Could using those features help with the upgrade issue?

You might want to consider looking into alternative PDF solutions. We transitioned over 200 users to a different program, and it ended up being much cheaper compared to Adobe licenses for the Pro version.
So is Adobe really upgrading Reader to Pro without users knowing? That sounds wild!
Classic Adobe, always looking to boost their profits!
If you install the unified version of Adobe Reader, you can actually disable the required login using a registry key. That way, if users don’t sign in, they just get the basic Reader version.
You can definitely create a transform file with the Adobe Customization Tool. When you package the install, just include this transform file to apply those settings.

Yeah, the way Adobe has integrated everything has changed. The version you download now is essentially the complete package, and it just needs a logged-in account for activation.
