I'm selling my gaming PC and I'd like to transfer my Windows 11 Home license (which is a retail key) to the buyer. My activation status indicates that a digital license is linked to my Microsoft account. Is it possible to transfer this license to the buyer's Microsoft account? If so, what steps do I need to follow? Thanks!

Unfortunately, it's not possible to directly transfer a Windows license linked to your Microsoft account to someone else's account. You might have to reset the PC and let the buyer purchase a new license. Sorry!
Retail licenses are typically more flexible than OEM ones, which is good news! You might consider fully removing it from your account before the transfer, although I've never tried that myself. Microsoft usually allows transfers, but for specific cases, it’s best to check the latest terms to be sure.
Yeah, disabling it from your account might work similar to how audio plugins are deactivated. Just be careful!

So I should just reset it and tell the buyer to buy their own key, right?
