Hey everyone! I need some help with my PC build as I'm experiencing shutdown issues while playing two games: Fortnite and Mewgenics. Here are my specs:
- Processor: AMD 7800X3D
- Graphics Card: AMD 9070xt
- Power Supply: Lian LI 1000w
- Cooling: Lian LI Hydroshift II LCD-S 360TL
- Motherboard: TuF Gaming B650-E
- RAM: 32GB DDR5 (2x16GB)
The problem with Fortnite is that it shuts off completely, requiring me to hit the power button to restart. Sometimes I can stay idle on the main menu for a bit, but as soon as I try to load into a match, it shuts down again. I managed to run Fortnite on DX11, which helped a bit.
As for Mewgenics, I can't play in fullscreen mode at all. It causes a blue screen of death (BSOD) and restarts my computer, and I think the error was related to a Watchdog issue.
I've been troubleshooting for days and, although I don't usually play Fortnite much, I want to game with my friends and enjoy Mewgenics. Interestingly, other games like Cyberpunk and some fighting games run perfectly without any issues. I've checked everything with the help of AI to ensure everything is updated and plugged in correctly but without luck. Any thoughts or solutions would be super appreciated!

Have you checked the speed of your DDR5 RAM? It could be running at default speeds which might not work optimally. Also, make sure that your GPU is connected to the power supply using two separate cables. It’s also worth checking your temperatures—though you mentioned your GPU stays below 50°C, make sure your CPU temps are fine too. Usually, CPU temps shouldn't exceed 80°C under load, but higher temps might cause shutdowns.
Definitely look at your RAM speed! But also confirm that your GPU is plugged in correctly with dual cables. Sometimes, shutdowns like yours can stem from power issues. If your CPU is sitting around 70-80°C, that might be acceptable, but when playing graphics-intensive games, you'll want to keep an eye on those temps just in case!
