I have an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X processor and I'm looking to get the best performance possible. I'm wondering if spending around ten bucks on a contact frame would actually make a significant difference.

You really don’t need a contact frame for AM5 CPUs. It's not going to make a noticeable difference with your setup.
Contact frames are generally more beneficial for rectangular CPUs. Both AM4 and AM5 CPUs are square, so they don’t really require one.
For just ten bucks, I think contact frames can be worth it for the aesthetics and it makes applying thermal paste a lot easier. Plus, it helps me feel more at ease when I have to push down hard on the CPU arm—it can be a bit nerve-wracking!
