I've been using Azure for quite some time, primarily dabbling with Azure OpenAI last year for learning purposes. I thought that my usage would be covered by credits, but to my surprise, I received a bill of around INR 472 for using Anthropic and LLaMA models last month.
After doing some digging, I found out that models outside of OpenAI do not come under the credits. I tried reaching out to customer support but ended up getting stuck in a loop on their site instead of creating a ticket. Eventually, I nonetheless paid that first bill and deleted my resources, believing that would solve my issues. However, I was shocked to find another bill for about INR 1,3xx arrive shortly after.
This time, I managed to create a support ticket, but the Azure support staff told me they can't assist with third-party services like Anthropic. I even emailed Anthropic, but got no reply. I'm really curious if anyone else has faced similar billing issues and how to stop these bills because I now have enough AI tools like GitHub Copilot and Junie to meet my needs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I understand your frustration; I had a similar experience. After I deleted my resources, I still received bills. To avoid third-party charges, you should check your Azure subscription details and make sure there are no lingering services. Sometimes, services can be tied to your account without obvious indicators. If Microsoft support isn't helping, perhaps consider sharing your experience on forums dedicated to Azure. Others might have the specific insights you need!
You're definitely not alone in facing unexpected bills from Anthropic models. It seems like many users are caught off guard by their billing practices. From what I've gathered, there's often a lack of clarity concerning marketplace offerings, and that can be frustrating. You might want to double-check your Azure account settings to see if there are any active services related to Anthropic, just to ensure everything's been fully shut down. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll definitely explore that and see if I can find any useful info from other users.
