My company is finally considering moving away from VMware to find a more budget-friendly hypervisor solution. We're predominantly using Windows systems but we're also open to exploring Linux-based options. If you've made the switch, which alternatives do you recommend I start looking into for demos?

You might want to check out Proxmox or Nutanix, depending on your budget and needs. Just keep in mind that Nutanix can get pricey, while Proxmox is open-source and pretty solid for both Windows and Linux VMs.

Yeah, Proxmox is a good option, especially since you're looking for something cheaper!

If you're mainly a Windows environment, Hyper-V is a great choice. It's really reliable and integrates well with the tools you already use. You won't regret it!
