Trouble with Clean Installing Windows 11 After Malware Scare

I'm trying to perform a clean install of Windows 11 because I suspect a Trojan may have infected my device. I've created a bootable USB to ensure a fresh start without any potential malware lingering around. However, I keep hitting a snag during the installation. I get a message saying, 'It looks like you started an upgrade and booted from installation media. If you want to continue with the upgrade, remove the media from your PC and click Yes. If you want to perform a clean installation instead, click No.' I select No for a clean install, but it always fails and sends me back to the language setup screen. I've tried removing partitions and even used command prompts to clean my SSD, but nothing works. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you're dealing with some installation issues. First, make sure that the bootable USB was created on a clean computer with updated antivirus software to prevent any problems. When you're in the install environment, try pressing Shift+F10 to open the command prompt, then use DiskPart to clean the SSD completely before starting the install again.

Consider checking your BIOS settings too. Sometimes upgrading the BIOS can help with installation problems. After upgrading, attempt the installation once more with the new USB; that could make a difference!

Also, double-check how you created the USB. It's safest to use the official Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft's website. If you're using any other tools like Rufus or Ventoy, they can sometimes lead to complications. Start fresh with the Media Creation Tool, and that might resolve your issue.
