Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated with Windows 11 and I'm looking for a version of Windows 10 that will still get updates. With Windows 10's end of life approaching, what are my options? I need Windows for my work but I want to avoid Windows 11 at all costs. Any suggestions?

You've got about a year left of updates for standard Windows 10. After that, you’re pretty much looking at shifting to Windows 11, trying out Linux, or sticking with an unsupported version of 10. I know that's not what you want to hear, but those are your choices.
What happens if you stick with an unsupported version?
The last feature update for Windows 10 was 22H2. You might still find an install ISO on Microsoft's site. Once you install it, there’s the option to join their ESU program if you have a connected Microsoft account – it's free, otherwise it's around $30. Just keep in mind that after October, your only route for updates will likely lead you back to Windows 11. If you really want to avoid that, learning Linux could be a solid choice, especially with distros like Mint or Ubuntu.
I can’t go to Linux! As a graphic designer, I need specific software that I can only use on Windows.
If you're keen on staying with Windows 10, I'd recommend the IoT Enterprise LTSC version. It keeps getting updates for a while longer. However, it’s not targeted towards regular consumers, so it's a bit of a different experience—no preinstalled apps, but it works well for daily use.
At least with this version, you won’t have to deal with Windows updates messing up your setup, especially with how problematic Windows 11 updates can be.
Are we talking about Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 here?
If you're looking for a supported option, check out Windows 10 LTSC. It's meant for business use but can work just fine for daily tasks. Just a heads up – it doesn't come with a lot of extra features, so you'd have to install things like the MS Store yourself. But it could be a good fit based on what you're looking for!
Wait, so no bloatware at all?
Got it, that sounds interesting.

I'm in the same boat! I know I should switch to Linux for my server, but everything's running smoothly right now.
