I recently got an Asus Vivobook F1504 and I'm having a bit of a struggle installing drivers for the WiFi and touchpad. When I run the installer .exe, it says the installation was successful, but they're still not showing up in the device manager. I even tried installing the chipset driver I found on the laptop's support page, called PlatformPowerManagement_intel, but that hasn't helped either. I would really appreciate any guidance on this—please explain in simple terms since this is my first time dealing with driver installations.

It's usually not necessary to install or update drivers unless you're having a specific issue. Are you having trouble with your touchpad? If it's working fine in BIOS, it might just need the right driver to be installed after Windows setup.
This issue could be due to a loose or faulty WiFi card. You might want to open up your laptop and check that the WiFi card is properly seated. But since it’s brand new, I hope that isn't the case! What about the touchpad? It sounds like that driver isn't installing either, which is odd.
Make sure you’re downloading the right drivers for your specific model of the F1504. There are a few variations, so verify you have the correct one. Also, when visiting the support page, click "see all downloads" for the chipset; the power management driver is just one out of many you'll need.
