Trouble with Secure Boot and BIOS Settings

Hey everyone! I'm having a tough time trying to play Valorant after turning on Secure Boot. I switched CSM off and TPM on, but when I change the Other OS setting to UEFI, I get this red error screen. After that, when I go back into BIOS, all my settings are grayed out, and I can't switch back to Other OS or adjust anything else. I can't even boot into Windows; it just sends me straight back to BIOS. The only way I can revert the settings is by performing a CMOS reset, but I need Secure Boot enabled to play Valorant. The error message reads: 'The system found unauthorized changes on the firmware, operating system or UEFI drivers.' What should I do?

When you're switching to UEFI, your system requires a GPT for the partitions. If your operating system is currently using CSM, it likely uses the older MBR. You won't be able to change the boot type without converting MBR to GPT first. You can use tools like Microsoft's mbr2gpt to do that, but sometimes it's easier to start fresh and reinstall Windows using a USB. Just a heads-up though, this will wipe all your data, so make sure you back everything up!

Thanks for the heads-up! That's a solid plan, but I’ll definitely back up my stuff first before attempting anything!

It sounds like your Windows installation might be using MBR instead of GPT. You can check this by opening CMD as an administrator, typing 'DiskPart', then entering 'list disk'. If you see a GPT column without an asterisk, then your drive is MBR. That could be part of the issue here!

Hold on, I'm doing a CMOS reset right now. I had Secure Boot turned on and then turned it off last night, and now it's acting up. I'll get back to you soon!
