Strange Pixelated Font Issue in Windows 11

I've been dealing with a weird font issue in Windows 11 for a while now. For some reason, it randomly switches to this pixelated, bold, condensed font when I'm browsing websites or checking my Gmail. This doesn't happen on every website, just some of them. I've gone through a Windows repair install and even reset fonts and cleared the font cache, but nothing has worked so far. I'd really like to avoid doing a fresh install of Windows if I can. I also have some screenshots to show the problem, but I can't post them here.

First off, head to Windows Settings > Personalization > Fonts. Check if you have the 'Segoe UI' and 'Arial' fonts installed, as those are likely defaults for many websites. Also, in your browser's settings, make sure the default font is set to something standard. For example, if it's set to 'Impact', that could be causing the issue. Lastly, ensure that the 'Allow pages to choose their own fonts' option is enabled in your browser settings.

It could be worth trying to identify and remove the specific font that’s causing the problem. One technique is to print the problematic web page to a PDF and then open that PDF with a text editor to see if it reveals the font. Just a thought!

I noticed something interesting. When opening a Reddit email in Gmail, it shows the font issue in Chrome. However, if I print that page, the font displays correctly in the print preview. But when I go back to the email, the font issue is still there. This could mean the rendering in the browser is buggy. Maybe try working in a different browser or clearing your browser cache.
