I accidentally deleted my boot partitions while trying to remove an operating system from one of my hard drives. Now, I'm working with a different drive where I've installed Fedora. I'm currently running TestDisk because I can see the files are still there, but I need help recovering the actual boot partition. Any tips on how to use TestDisk for this? I'm not quite sure what the partition name would be, and I really should have followed a guide when deleting the old OS.

You might want to grab GParted along with a live distro. With GParted, you can recreate the boot partition easily and use chroot to reinstall the boot files. If it was just the EFI partition that got deleted, it should be a straightforward fix. I just had to recover mine when I was setting up a server, so I get your pain!

I tried booting GParted from my USB, but I ran into some issues. I’ll have to check back and provide the specific errors I got. But after re-downloading and overwriting the original file, it worked for me.
