Trouble with Weak Wi-Fi Connection at Home

I'm having a frustrating issue with my internet connection. Despite being just 20 steps away from my router and having thin walls, my PC is stuck on a very weak Wi-Fi band that fluctuates between 1 and 2 for the last three months. I can't run an ethernet cable throughout my house because my family won't allow it. I've tried using a new Wi-Fi adapter, but I think it actually made things worse. Interestingly, my Xbox has no trouble connecting to Wi-Fi. I'm really careful online and have avoided viruses and malware. Any advice on how to improve my connection would be greatly appreciated!

Have you considered that other devices around your home might be interfering with your Wi-Fi signal? Things like LED bulbs or microwaves can cause issues. Try turning off some appliances temporarily and check if that improves your connectivity. You might also want to use a Wi-Fi analyzer app on your phone to see how the signal varies around your house.

Could you clarify if you're referring to different Wi-Fi networks or different devices? If it's about various networks, it might help to check the performance of each and see if there's a pattern with your connection quality on your PC versus your Xbox.

I'm specifically talking about different Wi-Fi networks I can connect to.
