Hey everyone! I just started learning C++ a couple of days ago, and I'm looking for some guidance. I'm having trouble finding tutorials specifically for C++ 20 or 23. Should I first focus on learning C++ 17 or even earlier versions, or is it okay to dive straight into modern C++? Any suggestions would be super helpful!

Just a heads up, the year in C++ versioning can be a bit confusing. It denotes when the standard was specified, not released. So even though C++23 was standardized this year, actual compiler support is still rolling out. C++17 isn't as outdated as you might think!

You should definitely check out The Cherno on YouTube! He has some great content that's beginner-friendly and covers a lot of modern C++ topics.

I recommend starting with C++ 17 or any version after C++ 11. Those versions have a lot of the new features that modern C++ introduced, which will give you a solid base. Plus, check out official documentation as well; it's really helpful!

Look at the basics videos from cppcon. If you have questions, cpp reference is a fantastic resource. Also, since you've just started learning C++, I'd suggest trying out learncpp.com for structured guidance.
