I've been trying for weeks to enable TPM 2.0 on my H61 motherboard, and I'm looking for advice on how to make it happen. I already have secure boot set up, but I'm not sure what else I need to do or if it's even possible. Also, I'm curious about the potential costs involved if I need to purchase additional hardware.

The compatibility for TPM 2.0 really comes down to your motherboard's specifics. Before the Intel 8000 series CPUs, most motherboards like yours didn't have integrated TPM 2.0. They typically required an external TPM module, which many boards outside of enterprise setups don’t support. If your motherboard doesn’t accommodate an external TPM, your options are limited. You could either stick with Windows 10, use Rufus to install Windows 11 while bypassing the TPM requirement (just be aware that this could eventually cause issues), or consider switching to Linux instead.
I see you mentioned your specs, but those specs might not help much if the motherboard isn't made for TPM. I would say check the manufacturer's site to see if there are any add-ons available, but realistically, those scenarios are rare and typically cost a lot if possible at all. Sometimes you might find custom BIOS hacks out there, but that's pretty risky and not something I’d recommend unless you’re comfortable with potential failures.
