I've been experiencing random shutdowns on my PC lately, whether I'm playing a game, on a call, or just watching a video. The screen goes black, the power light turns off, and it's really frustrating. Initially, I thought it might be my extension cord since everything else like my printer and monitor stays on when it happens. However, it seems to be only my PC shutting off. Sometimes, when it turns back on, a command prompt window (WINDOWSsystem32cmd.exe) opens up, but that doesn't happen every time. Occasionally, it self-diagnoses and says there are no issues, but I'm at a loss. Any suggestions?

Have you checked if it's overheating? That can cause sudden shutdowns. Make sure your ventilation grills aren’t blocked. If you’ve got a desktop, it shouldn’t be too close to walls or other items, and if it's a laptop, avoid using it on soft surfaces like a comforter that could block the airflow.
How clean is the inside of your PC? Dust and lint can accumulate even in enclosed cases, potentially causing crashes. Even if it feels cool on the outside, it's worth cleaning out the internals to ensure there’s no blockage affecting performance.
Running diagnostics is a good step! This might be related to bad memory, either main or graphics. Keep an eye on how your system behaves after running a test. If it shuts down while running diagnostics, that could indicate a more serious issue.
