I accidentally sprayed my trackpad with some cleaning liquid. Is there a chance that I damaged it? I took it to the Apple store, and it passed all the diagnostics tests. However, I'm curious if I triggered the liquid damage indicator, even though everything seems to be working okay.

It's generally not a great idea to spray liquid directly on any part of your Mac. The best practice is to spray your cleaning solution onto a lint-free cloth first, making sure it's only slightly damp, not soaking wet. As for the liquid damage indicator, you won't know for sure unless you check the actual indicator.
It sounds like you got lucky! If the trackpad is responding fine now and it passed all diagnostics at the Apple store, you might be in the clear. Just be careful with any liquids near it in the future!
