I'm seeking some help regarding high temperatures on my Ryzen 5 5600T CPU. I recently bought this processor along with an Asus Prime B550M-K motherboard, and I've been experiencing some serious heat issues. While gaming, the CPU temp spikes to 92°C and sometimes even over 95°C, which caused my PC to shut down a few times! When idle, it seems to rest between 50°C and 65°C, but once in a while, it only reaches around 70°C to 76°C during gameplay. I'm using the stock cooler, which is secured properly, and my BIOS is on default settings with no odd configurations. Initially, the CPU would hit 4.5 GHz while gaming at 50-65% usage, but now it only gets up to 4.3 GHz under the same conditions. I have no idea what could be causing this change.

Have you checked the cooler? Sometimes, the plastic cover can be missed. Just make sure there’s no obstruction to airflow or anything in the cooler that could be causing overheating.
Quick question—does the fan actually spin when your CPU heats up? That could be the simplest explanation if it's not cooling properly.
