My MacBook Won’t Accept My Password — Any Solutions?

I recently restarted my MacBook because the touch bar stopped working, and now it won't accept my password. I'm getting the prompt for a recovery key, but I'm stuck, as it just keeps asking for a password that I know is correct. I tried going into recovery mode and using the terminal to reset my password, but it's still asking for the password or recovery key. I'd rather not make a trip to the Genius Bar unless absolutely necessary. Does anyone have suggestions on what I can do?

Have you double-checked if Caps Lock is on? Sometimes that can cause all sorts of issues when typing passwords. Also, if your keys are malfunctioning, that could be a factor, too. Just making sure everything’s working properly before diving deeper into solutions!

Yeah, I checked and Caps Lock is off. I can enter my Apple ID password without any issues during recovery, so the keys seem fine.
