I'm in the process of building a PC and I need some help deciding on the best SSD to choose, especially with prices on the rise. Here are the options I'm considering:
- SN850X 2TB for $250
- Kingston NV3 2TB for $240
- Samsung 990 PRO 2TB for $336
- Samsung 9100 PRO 2TB for $350
- Crucial T710 2TB for $330
- WD BLACK SN7100 2TB for $299
- Crucial T500/T700 2TB for $283
- Corsair MP600 PRO LPX 2TB for $240
- Kingston KC3000 2TB for $282
Could anyone advise which of these options offers the best value for its price?

The Crucial T500 is a fantastic Gen 4 drive. It keeps temps low, generally under 70 degrees, and is competitively priced. If the T700 is the same price, though, I'd suggest going for that one. Just remember to use a heatsink! Also, I’d steer clear of Gen 5 drives in this market.

Typically, Gen 4 SSDs give better value for money. That said, I did grab a Gen 5 Crucial T705 2TB for a decent deal for my son's build the other day, so don’t overlook newer tech completely!

Honestly, I'd go for whichever one is the cheapest. The prices are all over the place, so getting the most bang for your buck is key. Just keep an eye on specs and reviews!

If you're gonna aim low, maybe just bump up one price point for something a little more reliable.

If you're looking for long-term performance, I'd recommend either the Gen 5 9100 Pro or the Gen 4 990 Pro. Samsung has a solid track record with firmware updates, which can make a big difference over time.

From your list, the WD SN850X stands out as a solid choice. Great balance of price and performance!

Totally agree! The SN850X is a top pick if you're looking for quality.
