So, I updated to Windows 11 back in November and everything was smooth sailing until last week. After a small update, my computer started saying that Windows didn't launch correctly every time I turned it on, but I managed to fix that issue today. Now, however, my PC is telling me I need to activate Windows. I've tried resetting the computer, and I ran the sfc /scannow command with no issues reported. I've used two different key scanners that both gave me the same product key, but now Windows won't accept it, claiming it's invalid. One scanner even noted that the key is for 'Win 10 RTM Core Retail.' Is this key basically useless now? Am I really facing the need to buy a new key after all this? Also, is it safe to get a new key from electronicfirst.com, especially since they're advertising a 94% discount?

Sounds like your activation issues might be due to the changes from that reboot. If your Windows was linked to an Outlook account, try logging in there and re-associating your PC with your digital license. You can run the Activation troubleshooter by going to Settings > Update & Security > Activation > Troubleshoot. This can help if you've made hardware changes. Just follow the prompts to see if that can reactivate your Windows.
I followed your steps but it says I'm unable to activate Windows. When I clicked "see other devices linked to your Microsoft account," nothing popped up.
