Hey everyone, I run a repair shop where I help customers set up new Apple (iCloud) accounts since it can be a bit daunting for some. Recently, a customer brought in an iPhone 13 that she'd bought second-hand. I helped her create a new iCloud account and set everything up smoothly. However, her account got locked for some reason, and now she needs it unlocked urgently. I tried to reset the device using 3uTools, and though it prompted for the original iCloud credentials, the email and password I have don't seem to work. When I went through the recovery process on Apple's site, it says the account is locked and mentions I need to wait 24 hours for an email. I have access to the Gmail account used for recovery, but I haven't received anything yet. Is there a way to directly contact Apple Support for assistance with this situation? Any help would be appreciated!

You should follow the recovery steps through iforgot.apple.com. Unfortunately, Apple Support won't provide help beyond directing you there. If the recovery process is being problematic, double-check all the info you're inputting—sometimes a small mistake can lead to issues.
Apple IDs are tightly controlled by their users, so they can't assist with anything beyond guiding you back through the recovery process. If you're seeing a message about recovery, that could mean it has two-factor authentication—this usually leads to a waiting period. Phase one is about 24-72 hours where they’re evaluating your info. After that, they’ll send you an update, and it might take a bit longer during phase two.
Thanks for clarifying! I guess I’ll have to wait it out. Hoping for a quick response.

I had a similar issue, and it’s frustrating! Make sure you’re using the right email linked to the Apple ID. If it's stuck, patience might be your best bet.
