Hey folks! I recently got a new power supply unit (PSU) for my PC, which I didn't build myself because I was a bit intimidated. While trying to make the upgrade, I discovered that the 4-pin CPU cable is stuck in a way that I can't pull it out. My question is: is it safe to cut the cable to remove it, considering I won't be using my old PSU anymore, or is there a better approach I should try?

Sounds like a tricky situation! Are you sure the cable is really stuck? Make sure you're pressing the release tab while trying to pull it out. Sometimes they can be a little stubborn but it shouldn't just be impossible to remove. If you could, it would help if you took a picture and shared it to get more specific advice.
I managed to pull the cable out from its socket, but it's wedged between the motherboard and the case. I can't seem to get it out due to space restrictions. Here’s a picture of the issue: [link](https://i.imgur.com/J3WFlkb.jpeg). Do you think cutting it is a good option now?
