I have a dual boot system with Linux Mint on one drive and Windows on another, plus a separate drive dedicated to my games, which includes both Steam and Game Pass titles. I'm considering mounting this game drive in Linux Mint to play my Steam games with Proton. I've already deactivated Fast Startup, hibernation, and power-saving settings on Windows. My main concern is whether mounting the game drive in Linux will affect my ability to access it when I switch back to Windows, or if Windows will automatically recognize it without issues. Also, my game drive is formatted as NTFS and the Linux drive is BTRFS. Will everything remain intact?

You should be fine. Mounting the NTFS drive in Linux shouldn't mess anything up. Just keep in mind, though, Steam might need some tweaking to recognize the games properly since they’re in a different environment than Windows.
It’s generally not a good idea to share a game partition between Windows and Linux. If I were you, I’d keep your games for Linux and Windows on separate partitions. Also, NTFS doesn’t fully support the file system features Proton needs, so getting games to work might require some extra effort.
Your game drive should be safe to mount in Linux. However, keep in mind that games installed on that NTFS drive may not work seamlessly with Steam/Proton. It’s usually best to install Linux versions of the games separately. You could create a folder on the game drive for the Linux installations.
From my experience, I play my Steam games located on my Windows drive without issues, so it should work as long as you set it up correctly.
Honestly, don’t bother trying to mix installations. It’ll just complicate things for you. Stick to separate installations for Windows and Linux games to save yourself some headaches.
