Help Needed for Dual Booting Windows on HP Envy X360

I'm currently using an HP Envy x360 laptop with Linux, and I'm trying to set up a dual boot with Windows. However, I've hit a snag at the network connection screen and can't seem to get past it. I attempted to use Shift + F10 to bring up the command prompt, but nothing I type appears. Can anyone guide me on how to troubleshoot this issue? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

You might be facing a tough situation since they removed the local account option in Windows 11 setup. I see you’ve mentioned some trouble typing—try using Shift + F10 or even Shift + FN + F10, but it can be tricky on some laptops. I’d recommend trying these commands: `oobebypassnro` or `start ms-cx local` to try to bypass the Microsoft account requirement. Another hack is entering an email like [email protected] to trigger an error that lets you create a local account. Check out this video for more methods: [YouTube link].

I can get the command prompt to open, but unfortunately, I still can’t type anything. I even tried connecting an external keyboard.

You should have the option to skip the internet setup, but it seems like you’re stuck. Most of the time, skipping that step is not mandatory, although some recent setups have changed things. Maybe there's a workaround activated by commands if you can get the terminal working?

Actually, it looks like there's no way to bypass that network setup in the latest versions. Have you figured out how to get the command prompt open successfully?
