Hey everyone, I need some help. I booted up my PC today and noticed that my Ethernet speed is stuck at 100Mbps, even though it used to work at 1000Mbps. Everything in my setup, including the cable, remains the same, and I haven't changed anything. I've checked the configuration for Speed & Duplex, which is set to Auto Negotiate, but when I tried switching it to 2.5Gbps, the issue didn't resolve, so I switched it back. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?

Are both your PC and router locked to 100Mbps? What router are you using? Have you contacted your ISP about this? If everything else seems fine, it's important to check your equipment—are you just using a router, or is there also a modem involved?
Interestingly, I managed to resolve my own similar issue by toggling between 2.5Gbps and Auto Negotiation a few times. It felt like the network card just needed a bit of convincing to work properly! Sometimes it just takes a little fiddling for it to re-establish the correct speed.
There are a few possibilities here. It could be a faulty cable or a bad port on either the computer or the router/switch. I'd recommend testing with another computer or device that supports gigabit speeds to see if the issue persists. You might also want to try using a different Ethernet cable or connecting to a different port on your router/switch.
