Hey everyone! I've got a bit of a situation with my PC that I hope you can help me out with. A few weeks ago, there was a power surge that damaged my ASRock Steel Legend B450m motherboard. I took it to a technician who replaced some chips (KBC and a MOSFET, I think), and now the PC powers on again. However, my RTX 3070 isn't displaying anything; the technician said it turns on, but there's no video signal. He mentioned that my PSU is working fine. Given these issues, do you think I should invest in a new motherboard and PSU, or can I continue using the repaired one? Here's my setup for reference:
- Ryzen 5 3600
- Asrock Steel Legend B450m
- 2x8GB Kingston HyperX Fury 3466MT DDR4
- Bitfenix Whisper 650w 80+ gold
- Gigabyte RTX 3070 (RIP)

I wouldn't put my trust in that motherboard after repairs. But before offering advice, what's your budget? And seriously, consider investing in a quality surge protector for the future!

Yeah, I had a UPS, but it was only 600VA. It worked fine with my old RTX 2060, but I was planning to upgrade to a better one. Maybe I should've prioritized that instead. My budget for this now is about $500 (I was actually saving for a new CPU, lol).
