I'm really frustrated! My PC has been working perfectly for two years, but suddenly it won't connect to the internet anymore. It connects to Wi-Fi just fine, but it shows the little globe icon indicating there's no internet. I'm using Windows 11.
I've tried all the usual fixes: restarting drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling them, and rebooting my PC. I even watched a YouTube tutorial, but nothing worked. I used the command 'ipconfig /release' and all my adapters say 'media disconnected'. I recently moved to a RV park about a week ago, and I've had great Wi-Fi until now. All my other devices are connecting without issue.
I don't have access to Ethernet, but I made sure my antennae are tight and positioned correctly. Oh, and I noticed that a random laptop connected to my PC via Bluetooth—but I'm not sure if that's relevant. I disconnected it and turned off Bluetooth, but that hasn't helped either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Do you happen to have a VPN running? You can try pinging 8.8.8.8 to check your connection. If that doesn’t work, it might be an issue with the router itself. In that case, resetting it to factory settings could do the trick, though I understand you might not have control over it since it’s public Wi-Fi.
Have you tried checking if your phone can connect to the same Wi-Fi? If it works fine, you could enable airplane mode and then just turn Wi-Fi back on to ensure a clean connection. Also, since you mentioned you moved to a park, is the Wi-Fi paid for? Because sometimes free Wi-Fi may not be consistent with internet access.
Yeah, my phone and laptop are both doing great on the same network. I’m not paying for it, but it had been working well until just yesterday. I’m really stumped!

I think the only VPN I have is with Opera GX. How would I go about pinging 8.8.8.8? Just trying to be careful since I can't mess with their router at the park. Thanks for the advice!
