I just received an Asus ROG STRIX 1080 Ti graphics card as a gift, and I'm wondering if my current power supply (PSU) can support it. Here's a quick rundown of my PC build: I'm using an Intel Core i5-7600K, an MSI Z270 motherboard, and my PSU is a SeaSonic G 550W, which is 80+ Gold certified. I built this system back in 2017, and I'm curious if my setup is still strong enough for the new GPU without needing any upgrades. What do you think?

Honestly, I'd recommend upgrading your PSU. The 550W is below the recommended spec for a GTX 1080 Ti, and while it's an 80+ Gold, the SeaSonic G is considered a C+ PSU at best. You'd be better off with something around 650W or higher for full peace of mind.
You're kind of at the edge with a 550W PSU for a 1080 Ti. While it might work, you could run into power issues under load. If you're not planning to overclock, undervolting could help, but I would still suggest thinking about a PSU upgrade for better stability.
Got it! Any recommendations for a good 80+ Gold modular PSU that would pair nicely with my setup?

What 80+ Gold modular PSU would you suggest for this build? I just want something reliable. No overclocking planned!
