I'm building my first gaming PC and I'm trying to choose the right graphics card. I'll be using an R5 9600X CPU, and I'm torn between a few options: the RTX 4070, RTX 5060 Ti 8GB, RX 7700 XT 12GB, and RX 9060 XT 16GB. My goal is to play competitive games at 1080p, and while I have a PS5 for some AAA titles, that's not my main focus. I think 8GB of VRAM should be enough for what I need, but since I'm new to this, I'd love some advice on which GPU would last me a couple of years. The 4070 is the priciest option, so I want to make sure I make the right choice.

Definitely go with the 9060 XT 16GB if you can!
All of the GPUs you mentioned can handle 1080p gaming quite well! I'd suggest picking based on sales—see if you can snag a good deal on either the RX 9060 XT or the RTX 5060 Ti.
Thanks for the tip! Leaning more towards the RX 9060 XT 16GB.
If you're mainly into competitive gaming at 1080p, the RX 9060 XT 8GB is a great choice. But, if the 16GB version is only about $100 more, I'd suggest going for that instead, especially for those AAA games you're considering.
Thanks for the input! 😀
The RX 9060 XT is solid! You'll enjoy the future-proofing with the 16GB of VRAM. Avoid the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB—it’s not worth the money unless you’re looking at the non-Ti version. The RTX 4070 is also a good pick if you're willing to spend a bit more for reliability. The RX 7700 XT is decent as well, but between it and the RX 9060 XT, performance is nearly identical for most users. Ultimately, it might come down to looks and price, but if resale value matters to you, keep Nvidia in mind. Otherwise, go for the RX 9060 XT 16GB!
I appreciate the advice! I'm leaning towards going with AMD since I feel I'll get more use out of it.

Thanks! 😀
