I've got a Lenovo laptop that turns on but the screen remains black. I can hear the startup sounds and saw the Lenovo logo briefly, but then it just goes dark. The laptop is around a year old and has taken a few falls, plus it has a missing hinge cap and some exposed wires. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Dropping laptops multiple times can lead to all sorts of issues. Given the physical damage, it’s hard to diagnose without a professional look. I'd recommend taking it to a local computer repair shop; they can give you a better idea of what's going on.
Out of curiosity, how many times has it dropped? Just wondering if you think it might be related to the issue or if it's just a coincidence.
I'd say it's probably been dropped around 10-20 times, but nothing too crazy.
