Hey everyone! I'm troubleshooting some annoying microstutters that have been occurring on my gaming PC whenever I enter new areas in different games. Here's my setup: I've got an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, an MSI MPG X870E EDGE TI WIFI motherboard, and 64GB of Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5-6000 memory. My storage is through a Samsung 990 Pro NVMe SSD, and I'm using an MSI Ventus 3X OC RTX 5080 GPU. My monitor is an LG UltraGear 32GS95UE-B, which is a 4K 240Hz OLED.

Also, have you turned off x3d mode in your BIOS? That setting is generally for dual CCD CPUs, and for the 9800X3D, it might create issues.

Did you update your GPU and chipset drivers? Keeping them fresh can often solve these kinds of issues.

Yep, both are up to date.

I've seen a lot of posts about similar issues with X3D chips recently. A few people have mentioned that reinstalling the Ethernet adapter worked for them; you might give that a shot!

Thanks for the tip! I'm planning to uninstall the Ethernet adapter to see if that helps.

Do you use a riser for your GPU? If not, double-check that your PCIe is set to 5.0. You can use GPU-Z to verify what speed it’s running at.

Just curious, does the stutter happen the first time you enter a new area or every time? If it's only on the first visit, it could just be the shader cache loading, which is normal for some games.
