Should I Upgrade My Monitor After Hardware Upgrades?

I've recently upgraded my PC from an i5-10400 and MSI Gaming X GTX 1080 Ti to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and an ASUS TUF RTX 5080. I currently have a 1440p QD-OLED 240Hz monitor. Should I consider upgrading to a 4K IPS monitor, or is it better to stick with my current one?

I'd say it depends on what you're using the monitor for. If you're just gaming and love the high refresh rates, sticking with the QD-OLED can be a solid choice. It's a fantastic monitor! But if you want to do more productivity stuff and enjoy having multiple windows open, a 30-inch 4K could be beneficial, especially with low settings for gaming.

Honestly, I'd recommend staying with your current monitor. You’ve got a killer setup already! A QD-OLED is tough to beat for gaming. If you want to upgrade, maybe consider a mini-LED in the future instead of jumping to an IPS. Just seems like a lateral move in a way.

Thanks for the advice! That’s what I was leaning towards.

In my opinion, an ultrawide 1440p with a high frame rate is the sweet spot for gaming right now. Way better experience than jumping to 4K for most games, especially if you're playing competitive ones.
