I'm monitoring the temperatures of my Intel i5 13600KF while playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and I'm seeing some concerning numbers. My CPU temperature is hovering between 85 and 95 degrees Celsius, with occasional spikes to 100 degrees. I'm using a Be Quiet Shadow Rock 3 Silent Cooler. Should I be worried about these temperatures, and what steps can I take to improve this situation?

Did you make sure to remove any plastic from the cooler? Sometimes during installation, people forget to take off that protective layer, which can cause overheating. Also, check if there's thermal paste applied properly underneath.
Check the airflow in your case and make sure your fans are running at the right speeds. It might also help to ensure your ambient temperatures aren't too high, as that can affect performance. Don't forget to look into the thermal paste application and how securely your cooler is mounted.
That temperature can be expected under load, but if it's only spiking to 100°C briefly, you might not need to panic just yet. CPUs have built-in protections to avoid going into the danger zone. Just keep an eye out for any prolonged throttle states; otherwise, it may be okay as is.
Sounds like your cooler might not be doing the job right. I have a Be Quiet Dark Rock cooler, and my i7 stays way cooler playing similar games. Double-check how you installed the cooler, or look into your case's airflow; it could be the issue!
Consider upgrading to a 240-420mm AIO cooler. Air coolers struggle with the high wattage of LGA1700 chips. I switched from a cheaper air cooler to an AIO and now my temperatures barely touch 65°C even under load!
I had a similar experience. My cheap air cooler was pushing my CPU temps close to 90°C until I swapped it out for an AIO. Definitely worth the upgrade!

Yeah, these coolers sometimes come pre-mounted with a layer that needs to come off. It’s an easy mistake to make!
