Hey everyone! I recently swapped out my old AMD Ryzen 5 3600X for a new Ryzen 7 5700X, and ever since, my PC has been stuck in a restart loop. I have an MSI MAG B550M motherboard, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 9060XT graphics card. Before the swap, I updated the BIOS for CPU compatibility, but now when I power on the system, I see a black screen with some white text that flashes briefly before it restarts. After the initial boot attempt, it just keeps restarting without getting to the operating system. I've also checked the BIOS, but it doesn't show any of my drives in the boot order, which I think might be a separate issue with rEFInd since I'm dual-booting Linux and Windows. I did manage to boot from a live USB, but the system still restarts after about a minute. Any ideas on what might be causing this or suggestions on what I can try?

Have you tried unplugging your PC and removing the CMOS battery for about 10 minutes? That can help clear any misconfigured BIOS settings and might resolve the restart issue.
Have you thought about reseating the new CPU? Sometimes that can cause all sorts of issues. You might also want to put your old CPU back in just to see if the problem persists.
I haven't reseated the new CPU yet, but I did try the old one, and I'm still running into the same restart problem.
I actually forgot to mention that I've already tried that.
