I'm curious if my Ryzen 7 9850X3D has a temperature issue since the idle temps are quite high, ranging from 50-65°C. I'm using an ASUS ROG X870E-E motherboard and a Thermalright Frozen Infinity 360 AIO cooler, all installed in a Dynamic Evo case with 10 fans (6 intakes and 4 exhausts). Previously, with my Ryzen 7 5700X, the idle temps hovered around 35°C using the same cooling setup and thermal paste (Arctic MX-6). The main difference now is that I'm running Windows 11, whereas the old CPU used Windows 10.
I've checked the AIO connections and confirmed that the pump is functioning at 100%. The thermal paste and cooler installation seem fine as well. I've set the Precision Boost Overdrive to -20, but haven't done any overclocking; everything is at factory settings.

Try ensuring your pump runs at around an 80% duty cycle and keep it consistent. Adjust your fan curves for the AIO to match that. Honestly, 50°C at idle is pretty standard for this CPU. A spike to 65°C might just be a momentary task spiking the CPU usage, which isn’t uncommon.
Idle temps are pretty much irrelevant. It’s more important to see how temps behave under load. What do they hit when you're playing games or running intensive tasks?
Did you forget to update the BIOS settings after switching from your 5700X? Make sure you’ve got the latest BIOS version for your motherboard and all AMD chipset drivers installed. Also, remember the 5700X used AM4 while the 9850X3D is AM5, so the whole setup is different.
