I have an ASRock B450m/ac motherboard with a Ryzen 5 1600 CPU, a GTX 1660 Super GPU, and 16GB of RAM. It's been about six years since I built this rig, and I've noticed it's starting to struggle with newer games. I'm not ready to build a whole new PC, but I feel like I need an upgrade, especially for gaming. I'd love to hear suggestions on where to start and what I should prioritize for upgrades. I don't have a strict budget in mind yet, but I want to stay reasonable.

Both the Ryzen 5 1600 and GTX 1660 Super are pretty dated by today's standards. If you're in the US and have a decent but not huge budget, here’s what I’d suggest: First, update your motherboard's BIOS and then consider getting a Ryzen 5 5600. Make sure to have a solid cooler too. For the GPU, a 9060 XT or something similar would be a great upgrade, and also ensure your power supply can handle the new wattage needs. If your PSU is old, it might be a good idea to replace it while you're at it.

Just a heads up, I'm pretty sure the monitor you're using is actually 1080p 60Hz, which might hold you back a bit.
