I've been keeping an eye on my CPU and GPU temperatures and they both seem to be within safe limits—my CPU usually stays around 79-81°C and never exceeds 85°C. However, my PC still shuts off unexpectedly while playing games. It hasn't shown any performance issues or stuttering beforehand, so I'm stumped. The only way I can get it to turn back on is by using the power switch on the power supply unit (PSU). Could it be that my PSU is failing? I've noticed that it gets really loud compared to the other fans in my system.

From what you've described, it does seem like the PSU could be the culprit. I've had a similar experience where my system would just shut off with no warnings. It might be worth checking if the PSU is indeed struggling to supply enough power.
I had a similar situation where my games would freeze and crash unexpectedly. It turned out my PSU wasn't delivering enough power to my components, which led to shutdowns. After replacing the PSU, everything was smooth again. Just a thought!
While your temps are in an acceptable range, 85°C is on the high side. Might want to check your cooling system. A bad cooler, old thermal paste, or even forgetting to remove plastic from a cooler can cause issues. But it could also be that PSU—you might want to look at that first!
I haven’t seen my temps hit 85°C until recently, they usually max out at 81°C. I do have a Master Cooler, so maybe there’s a problem there.

Yeah, that loud noise might be a sign something's off. Definitely a good idea to look into it.
