Best Fan Setup for a Corsair 4000D Case?

I recently built a PC with an AMD Ryzen 5 7600, a Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC, and an Arctic Freezer 36 CPU Cooler, all housed in a Corsair 4000D case. Currently, there are only two fans in the setup: one 120mm fan as an intake at the front and another 120mm as an exhaust at the back. I've noticed my system gets a bit warm when gaming, so I'm considering adding more fans. There's space for an additional two fans at the front, plus maybe two or three at the top. What's the best fan configuration for optimizing airflow? Any suggestions would be really helpful. Thanks!

Honestly, the two fans you have right now might be sufficient. It's worth keeping an eye on your temps when gaming; as long as they’re within a safe range, you're good. That said, many people prefer to install an extra couple of fans for a boost. You could go with 1-2 additional intakes at the front and possibly 1-2 exhausts at the top for better airflow.

Consider getting a pack of Arctic P12 PWM fans—they're cost-effective, and you can get a pack of five for about the price of two singles. You might not need to install all of them, but adding a couple at the front could help. Just keep in mind that your motherboard only has two fan headers, so you’ll need a 3-to-1 splitter to accommodate the extra fans at the front.

Good point! I wouldn’t have thought to check that. Thanks for the heads up!
