Is Upgrading From a 3600 to a 5700X3D Worth It with a 2080Ti?

I'm considering upgrading my CPU from a Ryzen 3600 to a Ryzen 5700X3D while using my current 2080Ti. I know this would keep me within the AM4 platform, but I'm wondering if I'd really notice a significant performance boost. Is my current setup bottlenecking my performance? I appreciate any insights!

You might see a slight performance boost depending on your gaming resolution and genres. It could also set you up for a future GPU upgrade, so if you plan on upgrading later, it might be worth it.

Honestly, the 5700X3D is pretty pricey right now for what it offers. If you're sticking to AM4, I would suggest looking at the Ryzen 5800X or 5800XT instead.

In CPU-limited games, switching to the 5700X3D can be a game changer—like doubling your 1% lows. But the price matters; if you can find it for around $200, it's tempting, but if it's closer to $300, you might get better value with an i5-12600KF plus a B760 motherboard instead.

There's no way they're selling a 5700X3D for $200; it’s usually much higher.
