I'm considering a CPU upgrade and am looking at the 7800X3D priced at 380 euros versus the 7600X3D at 280 euros. I mainly play competitive games like Rainbow Six Siege, Valorant, Fortnite, and CS2, and I'm wondering if the additional 100 euros for the 7800X3D is really worth it. Additionally, I'm also thinking about upgrading my GPU from a 6750XT to either a 9070XT or a 9070. Should I upgrade the CPU first or the GPU?

If you're gaming at 1080p or 1440p, your current setup should run smoothly unless there's a specific issue. What frame rates are you getting, and what are your settings? If you're looking for a boost beyond the current performance, the 7600X3D isn't a substantial upgrade from the 7600; you might not feel it's worth the extra cost. Also, think about your refresh rate and if it matches your gaming needs.

I'm on a 240Hz monitor at 1080p, using the lowest settings. My FPS in Fortnite can drop to 180, but Valorant is good with 240-300 FPS. I want consistent 240 FPS across the board, but Cyberpunk 2077 is rough at 50 FPS.
