Five months ago, I assembled my new PC, and everything was running smoothly until it suddenly powered down while I was watching YouTube. Now, when I hit the power button, nothing happens—no sounds, no fan movements, just a dead system. I checked that everything is plugged in properly, the power supply is on, and nothing seems disconnected on the motherboard.
The motherboard lights turn on when I plug it in, but that's it. I even tried to short the power pins on the motherboard, but it didn't help. I'm really confused about what could have failed, especially since I don't have spare parts to test the components individually or the technical know-how to diagnose the issue. Any advice on what my next step should be would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Check for any diagnostic lights on your motherboard. Sometimes there are specific lights that can point you toward the issue. If the only lights you see are the RGB ones, that's not very helpful, but knowing which lights are on and what they mean could give you a clue.
First off, try testing your power supply to see if it's still working. You can do a simple paperclip test—just Google it for instructions. If the PSU fan spins, that's a good sign. It's also possible that one of your RAM modules has gone bad. If you have multiple sticks, test them one at a time in different slots to rule that out. Good luck!

I did look closer, and the only lights showing are four RGB lights labeled BAP_LED 1 - BAP_LED 4 on the back of the motherboard. No other indicators are lighting up.
