I never used it because I've been worried about the possibility of them tracking it down. The company wasn't great to me, and I'd really like to keep the computer. It's super risky to mess with company property, especially if they can track it! If you really want to keep it, check if it doesn't show up as owned when you power it on. If it doesn't show that label, a format might be all you need, but still… it's a gamble.
