I'm building my second PC, and I'm super excited about it! My case can support up to 13 fans, and I'm planning to install 10 fans total, including my cooler. I want to use the iCue RGB software for this setup, but I'm not sure if I'll need a fan hub or controller because of the hardware I've chosen.
I've got a Corsair Nautilus 360 RS ARGB cooler and seven Corsair RS120 ARGB 120mm fans. I noticed that these fans can daisy chain their connections to the motherboard, but Corsair offers several controllers and gear, like the Commander Core XT smart lighting and fan speed controller.
So, do I need a controller to manage the RGB lighting? With the number of fans I want, would I need two controllers, even if I daisy chain them? Just to give some context, my specs include a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, PowerColor Hellhound Spectral RX 9070XT, ASUS ROG STRIX B650-A motherboard, an ASUS GT502 mid tower case, Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB RAM, and a Corsair RM850 850W power supply.

If you want to control everything in iCUE, you'll definitely need a Corsair controller. However, the RS120 fans have standard 3-pin ARGB connectors, which means they won't be compatible with most Corsair controllers since they use a different 4-pin connector.
Ah, so it sounds like I should just use the ASUS Aura Sync software from the motherboard for the RGB instead?
