How Can I Cope with Six Months of Rejections as a Frontend Developer?

I've been on the job hunt for almost six months now after being laid off, and it's been really tough. I have nearly a decade of experience as a frontend developer, with the last five years focused on a popular framework. Despite my skills and constant upgrades to my knowledge, I'm not getting much feedback on my applications. Recruiters often ghost me, leaving me in the dark about my job prospects. I've been thinking about starting my own media agency or going freelance since I have experience with product lifecycles. However, I'm feeling lost and wonder if there's still a future for me in software development. I'd love to hear how others have navigated similar tough times.

I get where you're coming from; I've been in frontend development for over 14 years, and it feels like the market is drying up, particularly for pure frontend roles. My advice? Consider pivoting to something else. Start working on projects that can boost your resume. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but it might just be necessary.
