Hey everyone! I'm considering upgrading my CPU from a 10900K to a 9800X3D while using a 4090 at native 4K resolution. I'm struggling to find solid benchmarks, especially for 4K gaming, and I'm curious about the performance gains I might see. I'm looking at around a $1,000 investment for the CPU, motherboard, and labor, but I'm hesitant to pull the trigger if the improvement is only around 10 FPS. However, if there's potential for a 20-30 FPS increase, I'd definitely be more inclined to go for it. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You might want to crunch some numbers yourself. The 9800X3D is about 8-9% faster than the 11900K, and while I couldn’t find exact benchmarks comparing it directly to the 10900K at 4K, you could look at its performance in more CPU-intensive games. It should help boost your FPS in those scenarios like MSFS.

That site isn't reliable for gaming benchmarks, though. Just keep that in mind before making any decisions!
