I'm trying to locate specific email keywords for several users on our old mail server. The issue is that I'm working with a huge 30GB .PST file exported from our Exchange 2013 server. Although I can mount the file in Classic Outlook, it often crashes or reports corruption, even though the original database seems healthy. I've confirmed that the indexing is complete, so I'm wondering what reliable methods people use to search through large PST files. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried running scanpst.exe to fix any issues? Once you can get it to load properly, consider splitting the file by year to make it more manageable.
Before going down any complicated paths, make sure you're not trying to access the PST over a network share. That could introduce issues.
What kind of system are you using to open the PST? The specs might be limiting you; more RAM and CPU power could help.
If the mailbox is still accessible online, why not search it directly instead of using a PST? Using Outlook for this isn’t the best approach anymore. Instead, consider importing the PST into a proper email archive solution for easier searches.
You might want to try importing the PST into MailStore. It's a handy tool for searching through emails effectively.
