Can I Flash My ASUS B760-F BIOS Using an ExFAT USB Drive?

Hey everyone! I recently flashed the BIOS of my ASUS B760-F motherboard using an ExFAT USB drive, and it went smoothly. However, I noticed that the official ASUS video suggests using FAT32 instead. I'm a bit confused—why did it work for me with ExFAT? Should I be worried about any potential issues down the line? Thanks for your input!

If it works, just roll with it! No need to overthink it. As long as your PC starts up normally, it's unlikely you’ll run into problems. Worst-case scenario, your board has a flashback feature that can recover from a bad flash, so you're covered there!

Thanks for the reply! What exactly is a flashback feature? Does it allow me to go back to an older BIOS version?

It either works or it doesn't! If your motherboard could read the drive, then ExFAT must be compatible. Many newer motherboards can handle ExFAT just fine, so I wouldn’t stress about it too much. You're probably safe!
