When Should I Replace My SSD with 60k Power On Hours?

I've been using a Samsung 850 EVO SSD for a while now, and it's had about 60,000 hours of power on time, but it hasn't written a lot of data—only around 20 TB. The SMART score looks good, too. Am I worrying too much about replacing it, or is it time to start looking for a new drive?

Honestly, SSDs don’t have moving parts, so I wouldn’t stress too much about the power on hours. Just make sure you’re backing up your important files regularly. I personally back up my game saves every couple of months just to be on the safe side—things can go wrong unexpectedly!

Definitely! I learned the hard way when my SSD failed, and I lost a ton of game time in Fallout 4. Now I back up my saves weekly!

I hear you! I’ve got a NAS set up for crucial files too—always better to be safe!

You might be overthinking it a bit, especially with how cheap storage is these days. Just make sure that anything important on your drive is backed up. If the content is critical to you, it's a good idea to have a backup plan in place!

For sure, I keep everything moderately important saved on my NAS and I even use cloud storage for critical stuff.
